Orschwihr is a little corner of Alsace where life is good, nestled between vineyards and hills, just at the foot of the Vosges Mountains. To the east, the Bollenberg, a legendary promontory that plunges down to the plain, and to the west, the mountainous foothills of the Oberlinger-Liberberg. Halfway between Colmar, Mulhouse, and Guebwiller, the village is ideally located for exploring the region.

Here, the vine has always reigned supreme! Thanks to the sunny hills of Bollenberg and Pfingstberg, Orschwihr prospered, as evidenced by the superb winegrowers' houses from the 16th and 18th centuries. The lower part of the village is full of these historic buildings, while the upper part was once occupied by workers and small winegrowers. Even in the Middle Ages, the Lippelsberg vineyards were already the source of wealth in the area, bringing in handsome sums of money for the Rouffach administration.
